Panic buying and stockpiling shoppers have led to supermarkets running low on dairy products. Some people without allergies and intolerances have been buying up dairy-free alternatives instead. At the same time, supermarkets are simplifying their product lines. This means they may not have as many free from options as usual. As a result, some people have found it more difficult to find the free from ingredients they would normally buy. So today I'm bringing you some simple dairy-free recipes that can be cooked using basic ingredients while you are on lockdown.

These recipes are brought to you by bloggers from around the world. Many of them have tons of dairy free recipes on their websites, so make sure you have a browse. These are just the highlights!

Consider the recipes to be a jumping off point to give you inspiration. Adapt the recipes according to what ingredients you have to hand. Be flexible. For example, you can use different types of mince or swap sweet potatoes for white potatoes. Use the spices you have in your kitchen cupboard. Or use tinned or frozen vegetables instead of fresh.

For each recipe I have listed the common allergens in the ingredients. But please check recipes thoroughly to ensure they are suitable for your own needs.

I will be updating this post regularly, so if you have any great dairy-free recipes that can be made with basic ingredients, leave a comment below and I will add it!
